The challenging holes which are set among whins and rough has earned Powfoot the tag of 'one of golf's best kept secrets'.

Welcome to Powfoot Golf Club.

In its latest measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the UK Government has announced that everyone must now stay at home except in exceptional circumstances.

With this in mind, Scottish Golf asks that all golfers in Scotland refrain from golfing until further notice.

The club is monitoring the situation and following guidelines from Scottish Golf and the UK Government, however, we are making every effort to keep the course maintained and we would remind members to maintain their preferred payment schemes for their membership.

We will be keeping you up to date as the situation progresses and we thank you for continued support of your golf club.

Welcome to one of the best golf courses anywhere to be found.

Set in breathtaking scenery in Dumfriesshire, South West Scotland, Powfoot Golf Course presents a mixture of both links and parkland golf of the highest standard.

Opened in 1903 and redesigned by the legendary James Braid in 1923, the course offers a superb test of golf with its many challenging holes which are set among whins and rough and has earned Powfoot the tag of ‘one of golf’s best kept secrets’.

Whether you’re a seasoned all-year golfer, regular society member or casual green fee player, Powfoot Golf Club offers friendly, relaxed hospitality to all.

A warm Scottish welcome awaits you in our clubhouse at either the beginning or at the end of the round.
