Welcome to Powfoot Golf Club.

Dear Members

Update-February 15 2021

The ongoing Covid-19 crisis continues to affect many aspects of our daily lives and with mainland Scotland moving to Level 4 from Boxing Day if you live outside of Dumfries & Galloway, with regret, I must inform you that you should not travel to Powfoot Golf Club.

The Scottish Governments new guidance on outdoor exercise allows the following-

  • Golf courses can remain open for play with a maximum of two players from up to two households (two balls only)
  • Golfers must stay close to home, travel for essential purposes and in line with the new legislation

Opened in 1903 and redesigned by the legendary James Braid in 1923, the course offers a superb test of golf with its many challenging holes which are set among whins and rough and has earned Powfoot the tag of ‘one of golf’s best kept secrets’.

Whether you’re a seasoned all-year golfer, regular society member or casual green fee player, Powfoot Golf Club offers friendly, relaxed hospitality to all.

A warm Scottish welcome awaits you in our clubhouse at either the beginning or at the end of the round.
