Captain December Update

Dear Fellow Members

It feels as if Winter has arrived with the colder mornings and fewer day light hours in which to play golf.

The rain has continued throughout November, and I’d like to say a big thank you to George and his team for maintaining the course in such good condition despite these challenges.

The white lines have now been applied around the green complexes. Please do not take trolleys or buggies inside these areas, repair your pitch marks, replace your divots, and treat your course with respect.

The children’s Christmas Party will be held at 4pm on Sunday 18 December 2022. Details are available in the bar.

On the same day the Winter Shotgun 4BBB competition takes place. Entries are available via the office.

Entries for the 2023 Open Competitions open today on BRS.

As in previous years the clubhouse will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and January 2, 2023. Please ensure you take out of your lockers what you need if you intend to play golf on these days. Full details of shop and bar seasonal opening times are on the club website.

As this is my last newsletter for 2022, I would like to thank all the staff and volunteers for their continued hard work throughout the year.

Finally thank you to all the club members. I hope you all have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
