Captain’s August Update

Dear Fellow Members

After what felt like a month where it rained constantly, I’m sure we are all enjoying this current spell of warmer blustery weather.

Thank you to George and his team for their continued hard work keeping the course in great condition. The overwhelming feedback is how good the course looks and how well it is playing.

We recently held the South of Scotland Golf Association Championship. The player’s feedback was the greens were the best they have played this season.

The caterers will officially start on Saturday 9 September 2023. On behalf of the Committee and members I would like to wish Maria and Sean all the success at the club. Please give them your full support.

The club are investigating the installation of solar panels at the club in conjunction with a battery storage system.  The Committee will keep members updated if the project moves forward.
