Captains Update

Dear Fellow Members

This is my Final Captains report as my year is almost complete. It has been an honour, pleasure and at times a challenge.

I would like to thank everyone at Powfoot Golf Club for all your help and support throughout the 2022 season.

Our greenkeepers continue to develop the course cutting the Whins, thinning out the rough which we should see the of benefit during the year, plus countless other jobs. The bunkering renovation/maintenance is also progressing well.

Please adhere to the club winter rules.

• No play from the fairways. Place outside the blue lines.
• Replace all divots. Yes, even in the semi-rough and rough.
• Repair all pitch marks.
• Keep all trolleys & buggies outside the white lines and well away from all tee’s, greens & aprons. Including winter greens which are GUR.

The upgrade to the driving range has been beneficial to club. However, I must ask members not to go beyond the driving range matting area to collect balls.

The AGM will take place at 7.15pm on Friday 10 February 2023 in the clubhouse.  We still require members for next year’s Committee. Can I ask and encourage you to volunteer to help keep your golf club going forward.
