Club Competitions and BRS Competition Purse

Dear Members

As we prepare to start the 2021 golf season at the club we, like many other businesses, are still operating under Scottish Government and Scottish Golf restrictions. Consequently, the traditional way we organise club competitions is not permissible. 

This season and for future seasons, I would like to ensure that club competitions are disrupted as little as possible and we, as a management committee, plan to run all internal club fixtures, restrictions permitting.

To allow members the opportunity to play in club competitions, we will be introducing the BRS Competition Purse, an electronic payment system using modern technology.  Full guidance and details can be found in the attachments below. Please take time to familiarise yourself with this new system.

The BRS Competition Purse will enable club competitions to take place with entry fees and winnings being debited and credited to the individual’s purse. The system will go live this Friday so that you can familiarise yourself with the competition purse, set yourself up and be ready to play in the first club competitions being held, using this new system, on the last weekend of March. Any member who does not wish to enter the optional sweep or optional 2’s should notify the office prior to playing.
