Winter Rules 2025/26-Updated November 2025

From the 25^th November 2025 the following updated rules will apply to all play at Powfoot golf club.

Lift & Place. A ball at rest on the fairway must be lifted and placed to the nearest side, not nearer the hole in the semi rough. NB Minimum of 1 club-length in to the semi rough.

Using Mats. The ball should be lifted, placed and played from the mat on the on the fairway only, no nearer the hole.

Winter teeing mats must be used on the holes where they are in place.

No trollies or buggies beyond the red line.

From the red lines into the green i.e. on the approach to the greens, the golfer may play out the hole as they wish. NB Putters may be used from area of the course.

Any ball coming to rest on the fairway may be cleaned before next shot.

Balls coming to rest anywhere else should be played as it lies unless plugged then can be lifted cleaned & dropped no nearer the hole for no penalty.

Bunkers full of water-Ball removed & dropped behind bunker in line with the flag for no penalty.
